The Active Hotel Diana at the foot of the Alpe di Siusi is a place of longing for outdoor enthusiasts. True to the motto ‘experience nature actively’, the hotel offers a varied activity programme: guided hikes several times a week, bike tours, mountain bike training and, in winter, ski excursions and guided snowshoe hikes make holiday hearts beat faster. Attention golf lovers! How about a birdie with a view of the majestic Santner Spitze? Oh, what a paradise!
Siusi allo Sciliar is a successful combination of Alpine character and Mediterranean flair. The village is home to the majestic Sciliar massif, one of the most famous mountains in the Dolomites and a geological and scenic jewel thanks to the Dolomite rock. Countless myths and legends are woven around this mountain massif, whose highest point is the High Sciliar (2,563 metres). For example, there are rock formations on the Sciliar plateau that are known as witches’ benches and are said to have been places for witches to sit. The best way to find out whether there is any truth to this is to explore the Sciliar massif for yourself.
As an active hotel in Seis am Schlern, we offer three guided ski tours through the fascinating mountain world of the Dolomites, two accompanied snowshoe hikes, and one guided winter hike every week.
Seis am Schlern, nestled in the majestic mountain world of the Dolomites, towering over the distinctive Schlern massif and surrounded by the Rosengarten massif and the Seiser Alm, the largest high-altitude pasture in Europe, is the perfect place for an active winter vacation in South Tyrol. On the snow-covered slopes between Puflatsch (2,174 m) and Tschafon (1,837 m), snowshoe hiking is simply fantastic.
"Hiking fun in the best company! With me there are not only guided hikes, but also nature experiences with lots of fun and unique insights into the world of the Seiser Alm."Renè Überbacher

The Active Hotel Diana is a cultural asset with a long tradition. In its early days, well-known aristocrats would spend two to three months here for their summer holidays. They would go on long walks or short hikes and enjoy all the benefits that the former Hotel Urtaler had to offer. Over the decades, the hotel concept was revised and the focus shifted entirely to active holidays. Even if you might not meet a member of the English or Spanish royal family at this hiking hotel today, one thing is guaranteed: a holiday full of adventure and unforgettable moments.
