Our hotel is located at the three-nation triangle of Italy, Switzerland and Austria, between the Ortler & Weißkugel. The extensive network of hiking trails around Lake Reschensee with its half-submerged church tower offers family hikes straight from the hotel as well as ambitious summit tours in the Ötztal & Swiss mountains. There was once a village that sank beneath the waves of a reservoir. All resistance was in vain. The only thing left standing was the tower of Altgraun Parish Church, which is now the emblem of Reschensee Lake. As you hike in the Ötztal Alps and the Swiss mountains near the lake, you’ll experience not only the pristine and beautiful between the Weißkugel and Ortler peaks but will also discover the treasure trove of South Tyrolean art history.
Wanting to experience incomparable winter adventures in the face of the imposing Ortler (3,905 m) and the Zebru (3,373 m) speaks for a winter holiday at Lake Reschen. On snowshoe and winter hikes, you can slow down and discover the treasures of nature that the sun-kissed Venosta Valley has to offer. The three-hour Plamourt-Reschen tour is a head-to-toe winter experience: Exercise for the feet, relaxation for the head. Our award-winning cuisine, which is characterised by Mediterranean home cooking, South Tyrolean delicacies and creative ideas, is a delight for the palate.
