Here, on the sun-kissed hills above Bolzano, you can enjoy hiking between vineyards (200m) and Alpine roses (2,200m), at the heart of the Dolomites. A natural spectacle: the Earth Pyramids. Enjoy a personal service, provided by hosts who will not only take care of your culinary needs, but are also happy to share insider’s tips from the region. Unlimited access to public transport with the Ritten Card, incl. entry to 80 museums.
The sunny Rittner (Renon) Plateau is situated between the Eisack (Isarco) and Sarntal (Sarentino) valleys, above South Tyrol’s capital city of Bozen. In summer and winter alike, the plateau offers a wide array of recreational activities to enjoy while immersed in untouched nature. The city of Bozen is only 11 minutes away on the Rittner Seilbahn cable car, so it’s easy to do a little shopping or sightseeing – or perhaps even visit the museum devoted entirely to Ötzi the Iceman.
Gliding almost weightlessly over fresh powder snow, your delicate red cheeks kissed by the winter sun, your lungs filled with the purest mountain air and savouring the panorama to the full. This is what snowshoeing in the Ritten winter landscape feels like. And winter hiking, one of the most natural ways to get around in nature, does the same – winter enjoyment par excellence. Our small Vitality World with Finnish sauna and steam bath promises relaxing moments and regeneration after an eventful winter’s day.
Surrounded by the majestic Dolomites – with breathtaking views of the Schlern, the Rosengarten and the Marmolada – you will experience a winter wonderland straight out of a picture book on the Ritten in Oberbozen. Cots carved by master craftsmen, shining fairy lights on Christmas trees, the scent of cinnamon and warm apple strudel and the sounds of familiar Christmas carols create the winter magic of the Christmas market in Bolzano. The sun-drenched Rittner high plateau and the Rittner Horn family ski area with snow park are also true winter must-do’s during the winter holidays on the Ritten.
