The Saalbach–Hinterglemm Mountains are characterised, on the one hand, by the rugged peaks of the Kitzbühel Alps, a real challenge for alpine mountaineers, and on the other hand by the placid alpine pastures and rolling green ridges of the Pinzgauer Grasberg Mountains. With over 400 kilometres of manicured and marked trails, this area is Eldorado for hikers and for anyone just looking for some peace and quiet. In the Glemmtal Valley, there are around 40 mountain huts: these eateries offer not only offer sustenance to keep hikers going but also serve the traditional summer specialities of the Saalbach–Hinterglemm area. Special themed walks such as a nature trail, the Kodok and Montelino adventure hikes for children, and healing-herb hikes add significant value to a beautiful hike: newly acquired knowledge.

Nestled between the Pinzgau Grasberg mountains and the Kitzbühel Alps, lies the winter sports destination of Saalbach-Hinterglemm. Plunge into the valley on hot runners on the Reiterkogel toboggan run until 11.00 pm under floodlights, enjoy the snow-covered landscape on the 22 perfectly groomed winter hiking trails or explore the highest tree-top hiking trail in Europe, including the Golden Gate Bridge of the Alps, in big steps and with amazed faces. All of this is Saalbach-Hinterglemm. All of this is the purest definition of winter fun.
