Lüsner Alm high plateau

Naturhotel Lüsnerhof

Floridity and soft winter sports over the longest Alpine pasture in South Tyrol

Lüsner Alm high plateau

At this organically run nature hotel in the untouched Lüsner Valley, at an altitude of 1,100 metres, we live and breathe nature. Our naturellness®Spa awaits with a range of water worlds, unique theme saunas with rituals, snuggly corners and the 300m-long forest bathing promenade with a sweating cave, saltwater pavilion, and infrared gondola. Regional, organic cuisine and the daily guided hikes in this pleasantly remote setting in Puez-Geisler Nature Park or the Lüsner Alm are part of the naturellness® philosophy.

Connoisseurs refer to it affectionately as the Valley for Hiking Enthusiasts: Lüsen (950 m), one of Brixen’s side valleys, is indeed one of the most pristine valleys in the Alps. Lüsen’s reputation as a hiking paradise is based upon the fact that it affords convenient and easy access to spectacular hiking trails and has such a unique landscape: high above Lüsen Valley, you’ll find the blazing-green meadows and high plateaus of the Lüsen Alm alpine pastures, one of the most beautiful and best-suited spots for snowshoe hiking. The placid summit offers wonderful views and is doable throughout the year – without danger of avalanches. At the end of the valley, in Puez Geisler Nature Park, there are also challenging hikes to be found.

Winter holiday between Peitlerkofel & Hochfeiler

Experience winter in Lüsen

The South Tyrolean Dolomites are at your feet on our guided snowshoe hikes. Or is it the case that you’re devoted to their majesty? Our hiking guides Robert and Manni will lead you to the most phenomenal spots of the Lüsner Alm and the Puez-Geisler Nature Park. But even if they show you the way, here’s what you need to do: Gaze at the snow-covered Dolomite peaks, which are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Breathe in the clear winter air and pause for a moment. Shake off any stress and worries. Let yourself be enchanted by the dancing snowflakes.

The spectacular mountains Peitlerkofel (2,875 m) and Hochfeiler (3,510 m) characterise the breathtaking mountain scenery of Lüsen and accompany you through every sporty winter holiday in South Tyrol. A winter hike to Campill (2,190 m) with hut magic on the Kreuzwiesenalm, snow-sure cross-country skiing on almost 50 km as an insider tip for those seeking peace and quiet on the high plateau of the Lüsner Alm, skiing on the 2,500 metre high Plose, Lüsen’s local mountain with a magnificent panoramic view of the South Tyrolean Dolomites and lively descents along the Herolerhof toboggan run are just some of the many winter activities in Lüsen.

"It is a great pleasure for me to show our guests my beautiful homeland with all the gentle peaks and rugged rocks of the nearby Dolomites. Hiking is my greatest passion, and it's even more fun with company."
