There are lots of activities to choose from – schnapps-making, the Filzmoos AlmCard, the Filzmoos Card, cable cars and Almi shuttle included! The Gosaukamm with the distinctive “Bischofsmütze” peak (bishop’s hat) is the westernmost outpost of the famous Dachstein range. In the shadows of these majestic mountains lies the village of Filzmoos that has retained its authentic Alpine character. The name of the village goes back to its originally mossy vegetation, to which the beautiful, flower-studded meadows still bear witness. Its location in the southernmost corner of the Salzkammergut and its proximity to the majestic peaks of the Hohe Tauern range in the west offers hikers an attractive choice of hiking and climbing routes of all levels of difficulty.
In winter, skiing is the obvious sport of choice in Filzmoos: the local ski resort and the Sportwelt amadé arena are just a few minutes away.
