With the glaciated peaks of the Rieserferner group in the background, Antholz is the center of biathlon and cross-country skiing in South Tyrol. Sportsmen can even take part in summer biathlon events. The wild romantic mountains of the Nature park Rieserferner-Ahrn have a special gem with the Lake Antholz at 1640 m above sea level. The well-developed hiking trail network, many alpine huts and mountain huts make the Anterselva Valley a popular, quiet hiking destination in the most sporty valley of South Tyrol.
Our Thomas leads a guided winter hike through the Pustertal Valley to the most marvellous vantage points. The tour from the frozen, glistening Lake Antholz to the Steinzigeralm (1,800 m) is his absolute winter highlight – South Tyrolean Alpine panorama, regional and home-made specialities at the tour destination and the opportunity to return to the valley in a hurry on a powerful toboggan and then spend a relaxing afternoon in the new ‘Sauna-Hittl’ with Swiss stone pine sauna and panoramic relaxation room during your winter holiday in the Antholz Valley. The Antholz Valley in the Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park guarantees winter fun par excellence for winter sports enthusiasts and nature lovers. Skiing on Kronplatz, cross-country skiing in the Antholz Biathol centre, snowshoeing on the Staller Sattel or a ski tour to the Lutterkopf and Durakopf – a winter holiday in Antholz is varied and family-friendly.
The high peaks of the Rieserferner (3,399 m) and the Hochgall (3,436 m) also form an impressive backdrop, while the dense, snow-covered forests and the magical Antholzersee lake create a gentle atmosphere.
