Tierser Tal - The stunning valley below the Rosengarten

Outdoor adventures

Two generations of the Robatscher family welcome you to our intimate, family-run hiking hotel in Tiers. Explore the mountain worlds with Claudia, enjoy the unique views of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Dolomites from our panorama terrace. Immerse yourself in the wonderful world of King Laurin’s Rosengarten, with hiking trails in summer and skiing in winter.

The bizarrely shaped peaks of the famous Rosengarten massif make the backdrop for the most beautiful valley between the Schlern and the majestic Dolomites. The Tierser Tal is one of the quiet corners of the South Tyrolean mountain world, yet with impressive via ferratas and hiking trails to the peaks of the “white mountains”.  The mountaineering village of Tiers at the Rosengarten has retained its authentic character and makes an ideal base for multi-faceted tours to the famous destinations of the World Heritage Site of the Dolomites.

Avventure alpine ai piedi del

Catinaccio Tiers in inverno

When the snow-covered peaks of the Catinaccio and Latemar mountains shine in a magical light. When the fresh mountain air and the scent of winter nature become an unforgettable sensory experience. When nature lovers and adventure-seekers alike are beaming with joy. When you discover hidden favourite spots around picturesque Tiers am Rosengarten away from the busy pistes and paths, yet in complete safety. Then our lovely Claudia, hiking guide and mountain enthusiast, will show you the paradise that lies on our doorstep on guided snowshoe hikes.

The Dolomiti Superski Pass and the numerous ski tour routes around the Sciliar and Catinaccio prove that you can also ski around the Dolomites. Skiers can start in the Carezza ski area, while ski tourers and snowshoe hikers can start right on the doorstep. The Tiersertal valley is also the starting point for snowshoe hikes into the romantic Tschamin valley and ski tour crossings over the Seiseralm into the Grödnertal valley. By lift, on foot or on skis – winter in Tiersertal is a sporty affair.

Claudia is a certified hiking guide in Rosengarten in South Tyrol. She knows all the hikes in the Rosengarten near Tiers and other hiking highlights.© Stefanie Resch
