Hotel Jägerhof

Enjoyment and culture in the middle of Tyrol's magnificent mountain scenery

Indulgence and wellness in Zams

Hotel Jägerhof in Zams delights guests with warm hospitality, a relaxing wellness area, and regional delicacies—game specialties from its own hunt, fresh herbs from the garden, and house-smoked bacon. Right outside this hiking hotel in Tyrol, the Venetbahn cable car takes you up to one of the most stunning panoramic peaks—perfect for exploring the mountains.

Our hiking hotel in Tyrol is the perfect starting point to discover the majestic alpine landscapes of the West Tyrol holiday region. For leisure hikers and culture lovers, the scenic walks around the historic town of Landeck and its many cultural sites are ideal. Those who enjoy hiking in the Lechtal Alps shouldn’t miss the impressive Zammer Lochputz Gorge.

Say goodbye to the winter blues!

Winter delights beckon in Zams

Around our Jägerhof in Zams, winter sports enthusiasts can get ready for sporting highlights: snowshoe hiking, winter hiking, skiing, and more – there are no limits for the sports lover’s heart! And what about those seeking peace and quiet? Of course, those looking for relaxation will also find their personal retreat in the spa area.

This region stands out in winter with abundant snow. Taking winter and snowshoe hikes in this winter idyll revitalizes both body and mind. The famous ski resort Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis is also located in the region, motivating winter sports enthusiasts to carve turns in the snow under bright sunshine. Goodbye winter blues!

Charisma of the hotel

Family traditions, customs, and knowledge are passed down from generation to generation. Hotelier Birgit has mastered a special craft, one she learned from her mother: speck smoking. Every year, 800 kg of speck is refined in the 400-year-old smokehouse. Of course, the family recipe is a well-kept secret. The process involves herbs like marjoram and bay leaves from the hotel’s own herb garden. For smoking, different types of wood, such as birch and juniper branches, are used. The exact recipe remains a mystery. Only Birgit’s son, Julian, has now learned it—ensuring that this valuable tradition will continue for many years to come.
