In July 2024, the stay at the Excelsior was raised to a new level, one in a class of its own. The idyllic mountain village of St. Vigil stands out for its glorious location, embedded in the unique landscape of the Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park on the southern slope of Kronplatz mountain. Today, the village of St. Vigil at the end of the valley is the ideal starting point for hikes, mountaineering and mountain biking tours that take visitors to the heart of the magnificent South Tyrolean Dolomites, the largest UNESCO Natural Heritage site in South Tyrol. Mountain lakes, rocky pinnacles and flower-studded meadows are easily accessible, thanks to a transport network based on sustainable mobility, making this region the destination of choice for holidaymakers who enjoy Alpine sports.
In winter, guests may access the Kronplatz ski resort directly from the hotel, one of the most beautiful and largest resorts in South Tyrol.
