The Jaufental valley is situated just behind the Brenner Pass, near Sterzing in the municipality of Rasching and offers a wide choice of hiking tours through the Stubaier Alps & Ötzaler Alps and across the glorious mountain pastures of the valleys Jaufental, Ratschingstal, Ridnauntal and Pflerschtal: a true paradise for walkers, hikers and alpinists. Trips into the Dolomite Alps, Grödnertal valley and to the Seiser Alm are definitely worthwhile. The bishopric Brixen has a wealth of treasures in store for visitors interested in culture.
To do justice to our ‘adventure resort’, winter holidays at the Gassenhof in Ridnaun are also all about exercise and adventure. A winter hike to the farmed Wurzeralm through snow-covered forests, cross-country skiing sessions on a total of 60 kilometres of trails through the wild and romantic winter landscape of the Ridnaun Valley, getting a taste of biathlon in the local biathlon stadium or energetic days of skiing in the Ratschings-Jaufen ski area – there’s no chance of boredom at the best Plotz im Tol. And for afterwards? Relaxation can also be fun – see the water kingdom with infinity pool and sauna world, for example.
Surrounded by the mighty peaks of the Stubai Alps, such as the impressive Sonnklarspitze (2,461 m), Ratschings is the gateway to an unrivalled winter experience.
