The adventure region Katschberg-Rennweg between Carinthia and Salzburg at the Tauernhauptkamm, is an excellent hiking area for families. Along the extended hiking trails marginal the National Park Hote Tauern and the UNESCO-Biosphere park Nockberge alpine cabins invite to culinary stops. Another natural treasure is the Pöllatal by Rennweg. Children love the “Tschu-tschu-train”, among other things.
A prime winter destination between Carinthia and Salzburg’s Lungau region – Katschberg, located on the climatic mountain of the same name, delights guests with its vegan, regional and seasonal cuisine, extensive wellness programme and generous range of leisure activities. The nearby Pölla Valley near Rennweg is a natural jewel that invites you to take a winter walk. In winter, the Katschberg-Rennweg region is one of the most attractive family ski regions in Carinthia. The illuminated Katschberg Advent Trail with its charming little winter huts is a particular highlight for winter hikers.
