Hiking in Gastein is like a 350 km journey through the Pongau mountain landscape. Historic pack trails lead past shimmering mountain lakes with stunning views of the Hohe Tauern glacier world. Hiking highlights is the Salzburger Almenweg, which leads to more than 120 alpine pastures.
The mountain ranges of the Hohe Tauern and Niedere Tauern, which stretch right in front of the hotel door, are made for being active. The Hohe Tauern invite you to high alpine ski tours with views of mighty 3000-meter peaks, while the Niedere Tauern tempt you with gentle winter hikes and moderate snowshoe tours. After an active day on vacation, you can regenerate in our pine infrared cabin or the bio-herb sauna.
The winter in the valley Gasteinertal is harsh and offers many attractions. For example, it brings you groomed winter hiking trails, varied snowshoe tours, night-time toboggan rides, 35 km of groomed cross-country ski trails, fun curling competitions, and romantic horse-drawn carriage rides.
