Get active and relax at the same time at 1,500 metres, on the foot of the Großglockner. This is where the road ends and a natural paradise begins. Our hiking guides will show you our greatest treasure: the natural setting of the Hohe Tauern National Park. Walk past waterfalls, across mountain meadows, through larch and stone pine forests and past mountain lakes, all the way up to the most beautiful peaks. And afterwards, relax in the “Glockner Spa” with its view of the glacier.
A vast network of hiking trails runs through the spectacular Hohe Tauern National Park: these trails run past waterfalls, through forests, across meadows, over alpine pastures, and continue up to the breathtaking views atop one of the 60 three-thousanders found here. The Glockner, Schober and Granatspitz mountain groups offer some of the most beautiful hiking options: the spectrum goes from easy walks in the pasturelands to summiting Austria’s highest point: Grossglockner Mountain. A few kilometres away, the craggy peaks of the Lienzer Dolomites provide further incentive to get out there on the trail.
