Gently winding paths, historic farms, and a picture-perfect panorama—the trail leads along ancient paths through one of South Tyrol's sunniest regions. The starting point is the center of Dorf Tirol. From here, trail no. 26 winds its way through lush green vineyards and past venerable farms – always accompanied by a view of Tyrol Castle, which towers high above the valley.
Passing the Schneeweisshof inn, you reach the Herrschaftsweg (No. 28), where history comes alive: dry stone walls, ancient irrigation channels – the famous South Tyrolean Waalwege – and gnarled trees tell of a cultural landscape that has grown over centuries. After a short climb up a small stairway, you reach the Innerfarmerhof, a quiet place with a great view. The route then leads back to the village across flowering meadows and through sparse forests. A walk with history, views, and character – ideal for connoisseurs who love nature and culture in equal measure.
Small, refined, and full of warmth: The Hiking Hotel Golserhof above Merano is a family-run luxury hideaway with a keen sense of enjoyment and exercise. Hosts Hiltrud and Patrick personally advise their guests on choosing tours and then pamper them with gourmet cuisine and a relaxing panoramic spa. Hiking, feeling good, breathing deeply – the stylish Wanderhotel Zirmerhof skillfully combines South Tyrolean authenticity with modern lightness. A particular highlight is the newly designed spa area with spacious retreats and a new yoga program. Those returning through the orchards can swap their wanderlust for deep relaxation here – always with a view of the impressive landscape.
