Hiking in Merano offers unique highlights in every season
The village of Tirolo is perched high above Merano—a small South Tyrolean town where the Alpine and Mediterranean worlds meet in a unique way. The mild climate is perfect for hikers. One of his favorite tours is the Spronser Lakes Circuit, where clear mountain lakes lie like mirrors between rocks and the sky seems almost infinite. As infinite as the view from the hotel's infinity pool, where you can cool off on hot summer days and let your gaze wander far beyond Merano. Autumn means chestnuts, Törggelen and soft light – a time when hiking in South Tyrol becomes particularly intense. It is the season when South Tyrolean nature is bursting with red apples, heavy grapes and prickly chestnuts. New wine is ready to be tasted, the Waalwege trails are covered with a soft carpet of colorful leaves, and the sun provides its last rays of warmth.
