The Naturhotel Outside lives by its principles in every detail. During renovations, materials from the region were deliberately chosen: larch wood, clay, and loden characterize the rooms, striking wooden discs adorn the walls, and the stone at the bar comes directly from the nearby Venediger mountain. Room numbers are printed on loden and applied to Swiss stone pine wood—a small but subtle reminder that tradition is interpreted in a modern way here.
Sustainability and regionality are part of everyday practice. The Ganzer family attaches great importance to ensuring that value creation remains in Matrei: craftsmen, suppliers, and producers from the surrounding area are given preference in order to strengthen local cycles.
