TOP 5 To-Do Erlebnisse im Tannheimer Tal

Summit climbers can conquer three peaks in one tour in the Tannheimer Valley. From the Wannenjochbahn, the route takes you via the Bscheißer and the Ponten to the Rohnenspitze. 13 kilometers and 760 meters of elevation gain lead you to triple summit bliss—panoramic views included. By the way, this tour looks great on Instagram—your followers will be amazed.

Three large mountain lakes invite you to cool off: The Haldensee ... is located at 1,124 meters and, at over 72 hectares, can truly be called large. There is an outdoor pool, but also numerous free swimming opportunities. The water is crystal clear and wonderfully refreshing.

  • Lake Vilsalpsee ... is located slightly higher at 1,168 meters and cannot be reached by car, only by bus, bike, or on foot. There is nothing better than swimming in this lake, located in the middle of a nature reserve. It is always refreshingly cool and the water is wonderfully clear.
  • Lake Traualp ... is located above Lake Vilsalp in the nature reserve of the same name. The ascent to an altitude of around 1,600 meters is about five kilometers long and offers a magnificent view of the nature reserve below. This trail is also well suited for families with children. The highlight at the top of Lake Traualp is a stop at the Traualpe, where you can recharge your batteries with snacks and refreshments.

Around 30 managed huts in the Tannheimer Valley make hiking a tasty experience. Homemade cheese, bacon sandwiches, Kaiserschmarrn, and elderflower syrup are simply the best up on the alpine pasture.

The via ferrata to the Lachenspitze is an adventure for those with a head for heights: high above the Vilsalpsee and Traualpsee lakes, it leads directly along the rock face to the summit. An experience you will never forget.
